Descrizione
Relativa al genere: il genere comprende oltre 250 specie. Caratteristica, come per altri gamberi, č la chela in grado di produrre rumore, utilizzata per la caccia. Alcune specie di questo genere vivono in simbiosi con i pesci della famiglia Gobiidae, altre si associano agli anemoni di mare.
